We were asked by a London acute provider and co-ordinating CCG commissioner to mediate in a long running dispute over counting and coding changes at the Trust. The issues at hand had been the subject of several independent reviews and correspondence.
We arranged a full mediation process, with the aim of resolving the dispute and putting in place a Settlement Agreement that would cover the remaining term of their contract, to 31 March 2019.
The process began by both parties submitting their case paperwork, followed by individual confidential meetings on their premises. On the final mediation day, at a neutral venue, a process of facilitated negotiation produced a mutually acceptable deal. The Agreement was signed off by the 2 Chief Financial Officers at the end of a long day.
