Strategic assistance with escalated contract negotiation and mediation

We have recently been helping 3 London acute providers with setting their contracts for specialised services. These contracts have been subject to a number of year-end deals and other local pricing arrangements over the years. This has resulted in unclear contract terms, insufficient income to cover the costs of the services now provided and, of course, disputes with the NHS England commissioner.

By looking at the services provided under contract and how they are funded by the commissioner, we have helped the providers to clean up lots of loose ends, as well as substantially increasing the value of their contracts. This process included using General Condition 14 of the contract to take advantage of escalated negotiation meetings and regional mediation sessions where necessary.
